          Today, the case was fixed for filing the written version by the Opposite Party. However, Sh.Deepinder Singh, Advocate counsel for the complainant has suffered a statement that Opposite Party has not settled the claim of the complainant as yet and the Opposite Party may be directed to settle the claim of the complainant within 15days. At this stage, Sh.Sandeep Khanna, Advocate counsel for the Opposite Party  suffered a statement that the present claim is still pending with the Opposite Party and has not been decided as yet. As per registered letter dated 4.10.2016 sent by Oriental Insurance Company Limited to complainant Harinderpal Singh, he was required to submit invoice copy of the vehicle, copy of the medical report of the driver of the bus, legible copy of state carrier permit required, an affidavit that he will be responsible for the wreck/ papers and insurance company will not be responsible for any consequences. However, the complainant has not provided the said documents till date. Keeping in view the statement suffered by the counsel for the complainant today, the Opposite Party is ready to decide the claim if the said documents as mentioned in letter dated 4.10.2016 are provided to the Opposite Party within one week. The claim shall be decided on merits, after verification of the documents and appropriate approval of the Regional Office.

          In view of the statements recorded by counsel for both the parties, the matter is referred to Opposite Party for settling the claim and the complainant is directed to submit  the  invoice copy of the vehicle, copy of the medical report of the driver of the bus, legible copy of state carrier permit required, an affidavit that he will be responsible for the wreck/ papers and insurance company will not be responsible for any consequences,  within 7 days from the receipt of copy of the order. Opposite Party will settle the claim of the complainant, within further period of 15 days therefrom. The complaint stands disposed of accordingly.  Copies of the order be furnished to the parties free of costs. File is ordered to be consigned to the record room.
