ORDER

Order Dated 22.01.2009 The complainant present. The representative of opposite party is present and brand new mobile handset was given to the complainant. The complainant received the set and requested for giving one year warranty. Opposite party company is directed to give a fresh warranty for one year. The company representative requested for passing orders to that effect. The request of the complainant for giving warranty is quite just, fair and reasonable. The opposite party is right in giving a brand new handset to the complainant. This gesture on the part of the opposite party is appreciated. Consumer Protection Act is a social and benevolent legislation intended to protect the better interest of the consumers. The matter has been settled promptly without any delay. However, the opposite party company is directed to give a fresh warranty of one year to the complainant. With this observation, the complaint is disposed off as settled between the parties amicably. In the result, I proceed to pass the following:- O R D E R The complaint is closed as settled between the parties. MEMBER MEMBER PRESIDENT
