ORDER

At the time of arguments, the matter has amicably been settled between the parties.

                        Towards full and final settlement of all the claims raised by the respondents/complainants in their complaint bearing No.699 of 2016, Sh.Rohit Kapoor, Advocate, Counsel for the appellants/Opposite Parties offered an amount of Rs.2 lacs through cheque bearing No.000615 dated 30.01.2018 to Sh.Nitin Kumar, respondent No.1/complainant No.1, who is present in Court.  The aforesaid cheque has been handed over to Sh.Nitin Kumar, respondent No.1 under signatures. Photocopy of the aforesaid cheque is retained on file.

                        In view of above, this appeal stands disposed of.

                        We make it very clear that any observation made by District

Consumer Disputes Redressal Forum-I, UT, Chandigarh (in short “the Forum”) in order dated 25.10.2017, under appeal, shall not be read as a precedent.

                        The appellants/Opposite Parties are at liberty to withdraw the statutory amount of Rs.25,000/-, which was deposited by them at the time of filing this appeal.

                        Secretary of this Commission is directed to disburse that amount with interest, if any, accrued there upon to the appellants/Opposite Parties, within 7 days from today. 

                        Certified copies of this order be sent to the parties, free of charge.
