Case record received back from the Honorable State Commission, Guwahati alongwith certified copy of the judgment dated 26.02.15 in connection with First Appeal No.30/2014. Seen the above judgment. By the above judgement of the Honorable State Commission, the appeal was dismissed with slight modification of the award. The compensation of Rs.30,000/- awarded by District Forum is reduced to Rs.5000/- only. The interest awarded by the District Forum for repairing cost is also reduced to 6 percent per annum from the date of making the payment. The cost of litigation as awarded by District Forum is maintained. In compliance with the above order passed the Honorable State Commission the OPs deposited a Cheque No.9851151 dated 30.06.2015 for an amount of Rs.6,12,800/-. The above cheque was issued in favour of the President, Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission, Dibrugrh. The cheque was sent to SBI for credit in our account. On perusal of the statement it appears that the said amount was credited in the account of District Consumer Forum, Dibrugarh on 03.07.2015. Meanwhile learned counsel for the OP filed a petition No.284/15 with prayer to release the said amount. As such, a cheque in favour of the complainant Sri Ballav Chutia may be issued on being identified by his Advocate. The supplementary case record be tagged with the original case record.
