ORDER

1.   Heard. At this stage, the matter has been settled between the parties. Vide his separate statement, Sh.G.S.Ahluwalia, Counsel for OP No.1 has stated that the matter has been settled between the parties and as per settlement, the OP No.1 shall pay a lumpsum amount of Rs.70,000/- to the complainants (in equal share of Rs.35,000/- to each complainant No.1 & 2) within a period of three weeks from today(29.12.2023) in full and final settlement of the present matter, failing which the OP No.1 shall be liable to pay the aforesaid amount alongwith interest @ 9% p.a. from the date of filing of present consumer complaint. Vide his separate statement, Sh.Rahul Sharma, Counsel for Complainants has admitted the aforesaid statement of counsel for OP No.1 and prayed that the complaint be disposed of in terms of aforesaid settlement. It has been further stated by counsel for complainants that he does not press any claim against remaining OP No.2 to 4.

2.   In view of the statements made by the counsel for OP No.1 as well as counsel for complainants and in terms of the settlement, the complaint stands disposed of by passing the following order:-

  1. OP No.1 shall pay a lumpsum amount of Rs.70,000/- to the complainants (in equal share of Rs.35,000/- to each complainant No.1 & 2) within a period of three weeks from today(29.12.2023).
  2. In case OP No.1 fails to pay the aforesaid amount within the stipulated period, then OP No.1 shall be liable to pay the same alongwith interest @ 9% p.a. from the date of filing of present consumer complaint i.e. 03.09.2023 till the payment is made.

 

3.   The complaint against OP No.2 to 4 stands dismissed being not pressed by the complainant.

4.   Certified copies of this order be sent to the parties free of cost. The file be consigned.
