This is an appeal U/S 15 of the Consumer Protection Act, 1986, against the judgment and order dated 15.10.94 passed by the District consumer Redressal Forum, Shillong. In the course of hearing Ms. T. Yangi, learned advocate for the Respondent/opposite party came with an application containing instruction of the National Insurance Company. The Insurance Co. now agree to pay another sum of Rs. 20,000/-, in addition to which has already been paid, as full and final settlement of the claim of dispute as indicated in their letter No.201000/ legal CS/96-97 dated 28.6.96. Mr. C.P. Upadhya, learned counsel for the appellant/complainant agrees with the aforesaid proposal. Accordingly the Respondent national Insurance Co. is directed to make payment of Rs.20,000/- as proposed, in addition to which had already been paid, within a month from today. The petitioner shall accept the same as full and final payment of all his claim.

 

The appeal is disposed of in terms of the observations made above.
