ORDER
SRI.P.V.JAYARAJAN: PRESIDENT
This is a complaint filed under section 12 of Consumer Protection Act 1986 and the matter stood over to this date for consideration.After hearing the matter the commission passed an order as follows:
This is a complainant filed by the complainant against the opposite parties alleging deficiency in service on the part of the opposite parties. After admitting the complaint notice was issued to the opposite parties. The opposite parties entered appearance and filed written version denying the allegation raised by the complainant. Subcequently when the case came up for consideration on 19/07/2022 the matter was referred for settlement and the case was adjourned to this date for reporting settlement. When the case came up for consideration today, the counsel appearing for the 2nd opposite party filed a memo stating that the matter is settled for Rs.7,000/-. It is further stated that the 2nd opposite party issued a DD dated 19/08/2022 for Rs.7,000/- to the complainant as agreed between the parties. The memo filed by the 2nd opposite party also contains the signature of the complainant. The complainant also filed a memo stating that he has received Rs.7,000/- and hence he is not willing to further proceed with this complaint. Both memos filed by the complainant as well as the 2nd opposite party are accepted and recorded. In view of the settlement arrived at between the parties to the proceedings, we find that this is a fit case to be dismissed as settled.
In the result the complaint is dismissed a settled. There will be no order as to cost.
A copy of this order as per the statutory requirements be forwarded to the parties free of charge and thereafter the file be consigned to the record room.
