Complainant as well as counsel for the opposite party submit that parties have arrived at amicable settlement, which has been reduced into writing and signed by Sh. Yogeshwar Nath Karta of the complainant HUF and Sh. Siddharth Singh, Managing Director on behalf of the opposite party. It is stated that opposite party has agreed to pay a sum of Rs.15 lakhs to the complainant HUF in full and final settlement of its claim for damages and compensation. Memorandum of settlement duly signed by the parties is taken on record. Shri Yogeshwar Nath, Karta of HUF confirms that he has signed the settlement on his own accord without any inducement or threat and pursuant to the settlement, he has received a pay order for Rs.15 lakh drawn on Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) dated 23.01.2013 bearing No.948177 in favour of the Yogeshwar Nath, Karta of the complainant HUF. Complainant states that with the receipt of this cheque, now there is no dispute left in respect of damages / compensation and requests that complaint be dismissed as settled. It is submitted by the complainant as also the counsel for the opposite party that the parties understand the contents of settlement agreement and they shall be bound by the said agreement. In view of aforesaid, the complaint is disposed of as settled in terms of the settlement agreement Ex.C-1, which is placed on record.
