Complainant present & O.P is represented & also present and submits before this that he was not present on that day in his shop & it was his staff who sold the article at a higher price than the MRP as it was an old stock & the price of the article was increased since then. He however, admits his fault & accepts that he charged the price above the MRP. Accordingly this forum under the provisions of S.14 of the Consumer Protection Act 1986 directs the opposite party:

1. to pay back the overcharged amount of Rs. 7/- (seven) to the complainant and

2. to pay a compensation of Rs. 200/- to the complainant.

Further this forum warns the opposite party not to indulge into repeat such unfair practices in future.
