OP counsel A K Shri Jha, has stated that it is a limited Payment Endowment Policy with Profits plus Accident Benefit.  The complainant met with an accident on 24.10.08.  Claim was filed with OP.  OP granted accidental benefit for a sum of Rs.2,333.33/- per month. The OP Counsel has also placed documentary evidence in which following benefits was granted to the complainant i.e.:-

        “Payment has been made through NEFT beneficiary account details are…

            Name of bank:     IDBI Bank

          Branch Name:      Sita Marthi

          A/c no.:                0719104000039853

          IFSC:                    IBKL0000719

              

          Amount has been credited to beneficiary A/c No. 27/08/2014 and 4/9/14 etc. as per our records.

          Premium has been waived and excess Premium (15880/-) due on 3/2009 has been refunded through NEFT.

Installment of disability is Rs.2333.33/-PM is paid to the complainant till date Feb.2013.”

Further, OP has also placed documents in which it has categorically mentioned that accidental benefit has already been given up to Feb.2015.  Further, OP Counsel A.K Jha, categorically stated that complainant will get all the benefits, sum assured plus bonus at the time of maturity.  The policy is going to mature on 28.3.2025 and the last date of paying premium was 20.9.15.  All premiums after the accident complainant have been waived off by OP.  OP is directed to pay Rs.50,000/- as litigation and harassment to the complainant within 45 days.

Copy of the order be sent to the parties free of cost.
