Heard Mr.M.V.Gandbhir-Advocate for the appellant.

This appeal is directed against the order passed by the Mumbai Suburban District Forum partly allowing appellant’s complaint in respect of defective fridge and directing respondent to pay compensation quantified at `10,000/-.  Appellant had purchased the fridge on 13/12/2004, had grievance about the working of the fridge and filed the complaint only on 04/05/2009.  Respondent had admitted in the written response that the compressor had to be changed twice and the coolant gas had to be filled twice.  However, it is not that the respondent did not carry out repairs from time to time. Complaint itself was filed almost five years after the purchase of the fridge.  In these circumstances, order passed by the forum directing to pay compensation of `10,000/- for the inconvenience caused to the complainant on account of fridge which was required to be repaired from time to time cannot be said to be incorrect.  Complainant can not get anything more than what has been granted by the forum. 

Appeal is therefore summarily dismissed.
