Heard the learned counsel for the complainant.
The complainant claimed an amount of Rs.20,82,500/- comprising of Rs.19,12,500/- towards loss of income, Rs.50,000/- towards mental agony, Rs.20,000/- towards expenses for transportation of the vehicle from Vijayawada to Hyderabad and Rs.1,00,000/- towards damages to the vehicle as the vehicle was kept idle.
However, the complainant can as well file this complaint before the concerned District Forum by mentioning the exact amounts he is entitled to attracting jurisdiction of the District Forum. Undoubtedly, the District Forum has jurisdiction to entertain a complaint upto Rs.20,00,000/-.
In the circumstances, the office is directed to return the complaint to enable the complainant to present the same before the concerned District Forum.
