JUDGEMENT
DATED: 09.12.2013
 
           Ld. Advocate for the appellant is present. Respondent is present. The appeal is directed against the judgement and order passed by District Forum in connection with C.D. Case No.2 of 2012,where by and whereunder the Forum directed replacement of the goods within the period of 15 days from the date of the order.
 
           Appellant herein submitted that the order passed by the Forum is required to be interfered mainly on the ground that no compensation was awarded by the Forum.
 
           During the course of hearing of appeal be directed that the appellant be represented by Lawyer in terms of provisions in the Legal Service Authority Act. Ld. Advocate Shri Anzar Ali has been appointed by Legal Services Authority to represent the appellant.
 

           It now appears that parties have amicably settled disputes and the respondent has issued a cheque for Rs 20,500/-(Rupee Twenty Thousand Five Hundred only) in favour of the appellant. We have gone through the terms and condition as incorporated in the joint petition submitted by the parties and we are of the view that consequent to amicable settlement by the parties, the appeal may be disposed off with direction that the cheque amounting to Rs.20, 500/- issue by respondent in favour of the appellant be handed over to the appellant as full and final settlement of the claim with this direction we dispose of the appeal. There shall no order as to cost. Let a copy of the order along with LCR be returned to the District Forum. The Court Officer shall release the cheque in favour of the appellant on proper identification. Copy of the order be supplied to the appellant and respondent free of cost.
