Present: Shri Atul Khatri, counsel for the Complainant. Shri Rakesh Dabaas, counsel for opposite party.
Today the case was fixed for compromise if any before National Lok Adalat.
Shri Rakesh Dabaas, counsel for the opposite party has made a statement that “I being the authorized representative of M/s Manipal Cigna Health Insurance Co. Ltd., am ready to settle the present matter for amount of Rs. 50,000/- in full and final settlement towards the claim of the complainant in the present complaint and nothing is due to the insurance company. A period of 60 days may be given to make the payment of said amount by the insurance company.”
Shri Atul Khatri, counsel for the complainant has made a statement that “I am ready to accept Rs.50,000/- as full and final settlement towards the entire claim against the medical treatment, harassment and litigation charges.”
On the basis of the statement of the complainant, the Commission is of the opinion that the complaint is disposed off with the direction to opposite party to pay an amount of Rs. 50,000/- as full and final settlement amount to the complainant within 60 days from the date of this order. File be consigned to the record room. Copy of this order be sent to the parties concerned free of costs. File be consigned to the record room.
