Complaint under section-12 of Consumer Protection Act, 1986

ORDER:  

Today the case fixed for arguments. Instead of arguing the case, Shri  

Sachinder Bhatia, counsel for opposite party has made a statement that we are ready to settle the matter for Rs.19,000/- in lump-sum as settlement amount Towards  the claim of the complainant in the present matter.  A period of 30 days may kindly be granted to make the payment of said settlement amount by the insurance company.

On the other hand, Shri Ranbir Singh complainant has made a

statement that “I have heard the statement of opposite party and ready to settle the matter for Rs.19,000/- on behalf of the complainant, as full and final settlement towards the claim of the complainant.  Order may be passed accordingly.

                   Keeping in view of the statement of the parties, the Commission is of the opinion that the complaint is disposed off with the direction to opposite party  to pay Rs.19,000/-  as full and final settlement towards the claim of the complainant within 30 days from the date of receipt of copy of order.  There are no order as to costs. Copy of this order be sent to the parties concerned free of costs. File be consigned to the record room.
