Order Passed
Sh. Ankit Sahni, holding brief of Sh. V.K. Vashisht, Advocate, learned counsel for the revisionist is present. There is none to represent the opposite party.
On 12.12.2018 conditional order was passed to the effect that if the parties are not present on the next date fixed, appropriate order would be passed in their absence.
The Revision Petition under Section 17(1)(b) of the Consumer Protection Act, 1986 is directed against the impugned order dated 10.03.2016 passed by the District Forum, Pauri Garhwal in consumer complaint No. 01 of 2015.
By the impugned order dated 10.03.2016, the District Forum has allowed the application for condonation of delay on costs of Rs. 100/- and condoned the delay in filing the consumer complaint and the consumer complaint was ordered to be registered, against which the present revision has been preferred.
The delay condonation application is well supported with the affidavit, disclosing cogent reasons for condonation of delay. The District Forum considered all aspects of the matter and passed a reasoned order, wherein we find no illegality or jurisdictional error in the impugned order. Revision lacks no merit.
Accordingly, the Revision Petition is dismissed. No order as to costs.
The District Forum is directed to dispose of the consumer complaint expeditiously and preferably, as far as possible, after hearing both the parties, as per law.
