ICICI Prudential Life Insurance Co. Ltd. filed a consumer case on 14 Mar 2019 against Mrs. Kiran Jindal in the StateCommission Consumer Court. The case no is A/353/2018 and the judgment uploaded on 25 Mar 2019.
Under our order dated 13.12.2018, the appellants deposited the awarded amount with interest @9% p.a. calculating whereof 02.11.2012 i.e. Rs.6,01,632/- with this Commission. It is so recorded in order dated 25.01.2019.
As per office note, the said amount is lying deposited with this Commission in the shape of Fixed Deposit Receipt.
The matter has amicable been settled between the parties.
Towards full and final settlement of all claims raised by the respondent/complainant, it is agreed that the aforesaid amount of Rs.6,01,632/- alongwith interest, if any, accrued thereupon in the Fixed Deposit Receipt, be released in favour of the respondent/complainant, namely, Mrs. Kiran Jindal.
We order accordingly. Let the amount of Rs.6,01,632/- alongwith interest, if any, accrued thereupon in the Fixed Deposit Receipt be released in favour of the respondent/complainant, namely, Mrs. Kiran Jindal, within seven working days from today on her furnishing identity proof or to her Counsel.
At the time of filing this appeal, the appellants have deposited the statutory amount of Rs.25,000/- with this Commission, which as per office report is lying invested in the Fixed Deposit Receipt and is available for payment.
The Secretary of this Commission is directed to get the aforesaid FDR liquidated and the said amount minus (-) Rs.10,000/-, be released in favour of the appellants/opposite parties.
The remaining amount of Rs.10,000/- be paid to PGIMER, Chandigarh towards discharge of their corporate social responsibility, which shall further be deposited in the Poor Patient Welfare Fund (PPWF) maintained by PGIMER, Chandigarh. Let the cheque be prepared in the name of competent officer after getting necessary information from the Medical Superintendent/Director of PGIMER, Chandigarh.
Needful be done within seven working days from today.
This appeal stands disposed of accordingly.
Certified copies of this order be sent to the parties free of charge.
