The complaint is partly allowed.

Accordingly, Opposite Parties shall refund to Complainants the sum of Rs.7,97,500/- together with simple interest @ 9% per annum thereon from 30/03/2009 (being the date the last payment was effected by Complainants) till date of actual payment.

Complainants are further awarded costs of Rs.50,000/- and exemplary compensation towards loss of opportunity and for mental harassment and agony suffered of Rs.2,00,000/- .

Both Opposite Parties are jointly and severely liable to comply with above directions and shall do so within 45 days of receipt of this order.
