This revision is directed against the docket order dated 31-1-2014 made in Memo in C.C.No.64/2013 on the file of District Forum, Warangal.
The complainant/respondent herein raised a dispute before the District Forum stating that the Electricity Department i.e. opposite parties are raising excess bills and even when there is no power, they are raising bills and according to him the said aspect amounts to deficiency in service.
During the pendency of the said complaint, the respondent herein filed a memo U/s.13(d) of Consumer Protection Act, 1986 seeking restoration of the disconnected power supply to his commercial Mulgi forthwith. The said memo was opposed by the petitioners.
Having considered the entire material on record, the District Forum while allowing the said memo directed the petitioners to restore the service connection of the complainant/respondent by receiving monthly minimum charges only.
As stated supra, the said order is questioned in this revision petition.
Heard both sides. Having considered the submissions and also the material on record, we are of the considered opinion that the said order does not require any modification for the reason that it is neither illegal nor irregular. In fact the impugned C.C. is to be decided by the District Forum as to whether the said bills are illegal or not and as the respondent is carrying on business, he definitely needs power without which he cannot carry on business. As the dispute is with regard to the billing pattern, in our considered opinion, the District Forum is justified in directing the petitioners to restore power supply by accepting the minimum charges as decided by the petitioners.
Accordingly this revision petition is dismissed. There shall be no order as to costs.
