ORDER

  1. Miscellaneous application No.1425 of 2024 has been preferred by the applicant/appellant for preponing hearing of the appeal and withdrawing the same in light of compromise/settlement arrived at between the parties.
  2. In the main appeal, proceedings stand adjourned to 14.01.2025.
  3. Counsel for the appellant has submitted that during the pendency of the appeal, the parties have mutually reconciled the issues and arrived at a compromise/settlement in terms of which the respondents/opposite parties had agreed to make the payment by way of two demand drafts/cheques of Rs.7,41,617.50 each to the appellant/complainant and in view of the same, he wants to withdraw the present appeal.
  4. Notice of the application to the respondents. Shri Bhupinder Singh, Advocate accepts notice on behalf of the respondents and confirms the factum of compromise/settlement arrived at between the parties. He further states that he has no objection if the appeal is allowed to be preponed for today itself and finally withdrawing the same in light of compromise/settlement arrived at between the parties. 
  5. In view of the fact that the parties have already settled the matter and the respondents have paid the amount of Rs.14,83,235/- by way of two demand drafts to the appellant, the appeal itself is preponed for today and accordingly withdrawn.
  6. Application(s) pending, if any, stand disposed of in terms of the aforesaid order.
  7. A copy of this order be provided to the parties free of cost as mandated by the law. The order be uploaded forthwith on the website of the Commission for the perusal of the parties.
  8. File be consigned to record room along with a copy of this order.
