This complaint has been filed by the complainant against the opposite parties under section 12 of the Consumer Protection Act, 1986 praying to disburse the entire amount of Rs.9,00,000/- approximately covered under the Certificate of Insurance issued under Max Life Group Credit Life Plan Policy No.124897 vide Product UIN:104N018V01 pertaining to the Certificate No.PHR008200606366 dated:30.11.2012, to the AXIS Bank Ltd., Retail Asset Center, Nathella Arcade, 3rd Floor, No.37, South Usman Road, T. Nagar, Chennai – 600 017, notwithstanding the amount paid by the complainant after the death of the insured member, to refund the entire amount of Rs.33,582/- approximately which was paid by the complainant to the Axis Bank subsequent to the death of the complainant’s husband due to its coercive attitude, along with interest at the rate of 18% p.a. and penal interest from the date of receipt till the date of realization by the complainant and to pay a sum of Rs.9,00,000/- towards compensation for mental agony, loss and harassment with cost of Rs.10,000/- to the complainant.
Proof Affidavit of the complainant not filed for a long time to prove the contents in the complaint. Complainant and Counsel also called absent for a long time. Complaint is dismissed for default.
