ORDER

            This order will dispose of the application filed by OP No.1 to 4 praying therein that it be permitted to deposit a sum of Rs.30,000/- being 50% of the amount awarded in compliance of the order passed by the Hon’ble State Commission, U.T. Chandigarh, dated 16.8.2012.

            Vide order dated 16.8.2012 passed in FA/240/2012, the Hon’ble State Commission, U.T. Chandigarh, was pleased to stay the operation of the impugned order subject to deposit of half of the amount awarded in this case, with the concerned District Forum, within 20 days, from the date of receipt of a certified copy of the order, in addition to the amount already deposited, at the time of filing the appeal. The certified copy is dated 21.8.2012 and the application was moved on 7.9.2012. Thus, the application is within time. Copy of the order dated 16.8.2012 passed by the Hon’ble State Commission, U.T. Chandigarh, has been placed on record.

            In these circumstances, the application is allowed. So, it is ordered that the demand draft of Rs.30,000/- bearing No.019751, dated 3.9.2012 drawn on State Bank of Travancore, be deposited in the account of District Forum and the amount so collected be deposited in the shape of FDR in a Nationalised Bank, having maximum interest, for a period of one year to be renewed from time to time, if needed. The application stands disposed of accordingly.

            Copy of this order be placed on record of the Execution Petition file, if any.

            Certified copy of this order be communicated to the parties free of cost. After compliance file be consigned.
