By G. Yadunadhan, President: The case of the complainant is that he entered into an agreement between the opposite party for renovation of the existing house belonging to him for Rs. 25,000/-. Out of that amount, Rs. 10,000/- was given as an advance. After repeated demand, opposite party did some patch work. After this small work, opposite party left from the place. Therefore complainant sent a lawyer notice to the opposite party, but that was not replied so far. Hence complainant is seeking relief against the opposite party to return an amount of Rs.10,000/-. After duly serving notice, opposite party called absent and set exparte. Complainant filed affidavit and Exts. A1 and A2 were marked. From the affidavit and Exts. A1 and A2, complainant’s case is proved. In the result petition is allowed and the opposite party is directed to return an amount of Rs.10,000/- and a compensation of Rs. 250/- with no costs to the complainant.
