1. This complaint is filed alleging deficiency in service on the part of the opposite parties in issuing the impugned additional bill for Rs. 7,477/- dated 21-05-2014. The opposite parties filed their version stating that they have issued the disputed bill after considering the actual consumption of water by the complainant.
2. Heard the learned counsel for the complainant and authorised representative of the opposite parties. The authorized representative of the opposite parties submitted that they have issued the impugned bill calculating consumption of water for the period from 03-11-2011 to 31-03-2014. The learned counsel for the complainant submitted that the complainant is prepared to remit the amount after taking long average consumption of water by the complainant from 01-03-2007 the date of replacement of water meter to till date.
3. The submission on the part of the learned counsel for the complainant appears to be genuine and sustainable in law. We therefore direct the opposite parties to issue a revised bill for the period from 03-11-2011 till date, after taking long average consumption of water from 02-03-2007 to till date. Ordered accordingly.
4. In the result, we set aside the impugned bill dated 21-05-2014 for Rs. 7,477/- for the above purpose. The opposite parties shall adjust the remittances made by the complainant towards future bills. The opposite parties are directed to comply with the above directions within 30 days from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
