This case has been filed seeking to set aside the bill for Rs.340238/- being the water charges for 67 months. Taken up at the settlement. Talk held. The bill sought to be set aside is dated 17.08.2019. The bill for the remaining period up to 31.03.2022 is for Rs.1613/-. The opposite party Kerala Water Authority has not issued regular monthly or by monthly bill upto 2019 and issued an additional bill for a period of 67 months for Rs.340238/- which is highly excessive especially when the subsequent bill amount is considered.
In view of the facts and circumstances we are inclined to direct the complainant to settle the case by paying Rs.18000/- in equal 2 monthly installments payable on or before 7th of each month commencing from May (May&June). Both parties are amenable for the above suggestions.
In the result complaint stands disposed off in the above terms failing which the opposite party is entitled to recover the amount as per the additional bill and regular bills up to 31.03.2022.
