ORDER
SRI.P.V.JAYARAJAN: PRESIDENT
This is a complaint filed under section 35 of Consumer Protection Act 2019 and the matter stood over to this date for consideration.After hearing the matter the commission passed an order as follows:
This is a complaint filed by the complainant against the opposite parties alleging deficiency in service on the part of the opposite parties. After admitting the complaint notice was issued to the opposite parties. The opposite parties entered appearance and filed written version denying the allegation raised by the complainant.
When the case came up for consideration on 19/05/2023 both parties represented that there is a chance of settlement and hence the matter was referred for mediation. When the case came up for consideration today, both parties submitted that the matter is settled for Rs.2,35,000/-. The compromise memo singed by both parties is also filed. The compromise memo is accepted and recorded. As per the teams of compromise the opposite parties have agreed to pay Rs.2,35,000/- to the complainant within 20 days from the date of settlement. In view of the settlement arrived at between the parties to the proceedings, we find that this is a fit case to be allowed in terms of compromise.
In the result complaint is allowed in teams of compromise. The compromise memo dated 03/06/2023 shall form part of this order.
A copy of this order as per the statutory requirements be forwarded to the parties free of charge and thereafter the file be consigned to the record room.
