                                                O R D E R

            The case of the complainant is that he had deposited Rs.1,16,250/- with the respondent., vide receipt nos. 36577 dated 13-6-2005 for Rs.50,000/-; 45109 dated 28-6-2005 for  Rs.50,000/-, 137758 dated 8-12-2005 for Rs.5,000/; 204995 dated 27-3-2006 for Rs.5000/-; and 229982 date 3-5-2006 for Rs.6250/-.  The respondent had offered double the amount in 6 ½ years.  However, the amount has not been returned back as promised.  Hence the complaint.

 

          2.  The respondents remained exparte.  The complainant filed affidavit and Exhibits P1 to P5 documents.  There is no evidence to the contrary.

 

          3.  In the result, the complaint is allowed.  The respondents are directed to return double the amount of Exhibit P1 to P5 amount with interest at the rate of 12% per annum, from the due date of payment in respect of each of the above receipts, till the date of payment, with costs Rs.1000/- (Rupees One thousand only), within two months from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
