By Smt. Padmini Sudheesh, President:

The case is that the complainant had deposited with the respondents amounts of Rs.5000/-, Rs.2500/-, and Rs.2500/- on 26.11.2005, 22.8.2005, and 7.11.2005 respectively. It was promised that on attaining 6 years the amounts will be doubled.  But no amount is returned so far.  So a lawyer notice was issued but of no remedy.  Hence the complaint.

          2. The respondents remained exparte.

          3. The complainant filed affidavit and Exts. P1 series to P3 documents.

          4. There is no evidence to the contrary.

          5. In the result the complaint is allowed and the respondents are directed to return the double amount of the deposit amounts with interest at the rate of 12% per annum from the date of complaint till realization with cost Rs.1000/- (Rupees one thousand only) within a month from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
