By Smt. Padmini Sudheesh, President The case of complainant is that he had taken insurance policy for the vehicle No.HR 38A 1881 from the respondents company. The policy number is 100902/31/21/11/2519/18. The period of the policy was from 15/9/98 to 14/9/99. The vehicle was insured for Rs.6,80,000/-. On 28/8/99 the vehicle was stolen and he had applied for the claim. But the claim is not settled so far. This is deficiency in service on the part of respondents and this complaint is filed. 2. The respondents are called absent and set exparte. 3. The complainant filed affidavit and Exhibit P1 to prove his case. 4. According to the complainant the vehicle having Registration No. HR 38A 1881 owned by him was insured with the respondents company and it was stolen by somebody else. The vehicle was TATA National Permit Lorry and was insured for Rs.6,80,000/-. After the said incident he applied for the claim benefit but was not settled. The complainant was caused to issue lawyer notice to the respondents but there is no remedy also. 5.There is no evidence to the contrary. 6. In the result the complaint is allowed as prayed with cost Rs.1,000/- (Rupees One thousand only) within one month. Dictated to the Confdl.
