Both parties represented.  Complainant filed IA 816/22 to advance the matter from 9/01/2023 to this day.  Allowed.  Parties filed joint statement as the matter settled.  The opposite party  agreed to pay an amount of Rs.11,000/- towards the full and final settlement of the  complainant’s claim  of amount paid by him to KSEB for the  damages caused by his vehicle to the property of KSEB and the complainant has agreed to accept the offer and close the complaint filed before the Commission.

            The complainant also agreed that there will not be any further  claim in future under the policy 419014/31/21/007537 including  for any damages to his vehicle KL 53-4845 and the liability for any claims that may arise in the future  will be responsibility of complainant.  The complainant agreed to hand over the original receipt issued by KSEB to the opposite party.

            The opposite party agreed to make payment within 14 days of receipt of order of the Commission recording the settlement.  Opposite party undertake to transfer the money within 14 days and on failure to do so, the opposite party is liable to pay interest at the rate of 12% per annum from the date of failure till date of payment.

            Hence complaint allowed as settled. The complainant is allowed to take back the original bill Ext. A1 to produce before the opposite party.
