MR. PRAVAT KUMAR PADHI, PRESIDENT:-
Complainant filed the C.C.Case No. 78/2023 has been filed U/s-35 of C.P.Act, 2019 seeking correction of electric bill for the period from 1999 to 2003. In normal course we would not have entertained such belated claim. But on the face of record it is seen that on dt. 31.12.2002, Complainant has paid Rs. 1644.60/- and arrear was Rs. 30,824.56/- and balance was Rs. 29,179.96/-.but in the next column the amount has been increased to Rs. 41,416/- on dt. 30.04.2003. Similarly on dt. 30.09.2003 the current bill of one month Rs. 8922/- was added which the Complainant disputes and prayed to deduct the said amount and he has no grievance after 2003.
Taking into consideration the limited prayer and unspecific reply of Ops we direct the Ops to replace Rs. 29,179.96/- in place of Rs. 41,416/- as on dt. 30.04.2003 and also delete Rs. 8,922/- of bill dt. 30.09.2003 and keep Rs. 1,880/- in that place as is being normally fixed in each preceding months thus deduct Rs. 7,092/- and we further direct the Ops to settle the claim of the Complainant within a period of 45 days from the date of receipt of this order.
With the aforesaid observation and direction the C.C.Case No. 78/2023 is accordingly disposed off.
Issue extract of the order to the parties for compliance.
