By G. Yadunadhan,President: The case of the complainant is that complainant had availed a loan for the vehicle bearing No. KL 18-9918 from the opposite party. Total outstanding dues against the complainant is Rs.21,560/-. Complainant cleared that amount on 25.9.2006. After clearing the entire dues, opposite party retained the R.C.Book without any reason. No Objection Certificate was also not issued so far. Hence this complaint. Opposite party filed version denying all the allegations made in the complaint. While the case was specifically posted for evidence or settlement on 1.12.2008, on that day opposite party called absent and set exparte. Complainant filed affidavit and Exts. A1 to A4 were marked. From the affidavit and Exts. A1 to A4, complainant’s case is proved. In the result, petition is allowed and the opposite party is directed to hand over the R.C.Book and No Objection Certificate to the complainant and also to pay a compensation of Rs.5000/- (Rupees five thousand only) with no cost. Pronounced in open Court this the 4th day of December 2008.
