Today the instant case is placed before this LOK ADALAT for settlement of disputes.
The Complainant along with his Learned Advocate are present before this Commission.
The Opposite Party along with his Learned Advocate are also present before this Commission.
It is seen from the case record that the Complainant has deposited a Demand Draft amounting to Rs 400/- ( Rupees Four Hundred only), being Draft No. “ 998711” dated 23.11.2023, of SBI, Darjeeling Bazar Branch, in favour of the President, District Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission as filing fees as per the ORDER dated 07.09.2023.
Let the Demand Draft be deposited in the bank account.

The Complainant submitted before this LOK ADALAT that the 2nd key of the vehicle purchased by him has not been handed over by the Opposite and as such he has filed the case for getting the same along with the compensation of Rs. 1,00,000/- ( Rupees One Lakh only) for mental pain, suffering etc.
On the other hand, the Opposite Party stated that they are willing to hand over the key and ready to pay compensation of Rs. 7,000/- ( Rupees Seven Thousand) only .
The Complainant is ready to accept the offer as proposed by the Opposite Party.
Hence, the case is settled amicably by and between the parties through this LOK ADALAT.
In EJLASH, the Opposite Party handed over the SECOND KEY of the vehicle in the hand of the Opposite Party and also paid Rs. 7,000/- ( Rupees Seven Thousand only) to the Complainant directly as settled compensation amount.
The Complainant has filed the receipt of the same. Let the receipt be kept with the record.
Thus, the Consumer Complaint, being No. 04/2023 is settled amicably by and between the parties through this LOK ADALAT and both the parties are fully satisfied.
