ORDER

Complaint is filed claiming compensation of Rs.140/- and costs of this proceedings. According to him, he purchased 2 packets of broken wheat for Rs.12/- per packet. In the market the price of a packet of broken wheat was only Rs.7.00 or Rs.7.50/-. The opposite party has committed unfair trade practice by collecting Rs.15/- more than the prevailing market price. The packet did not contain the particulars such as maximum retail price, date of packing, weight and nature of product. Therefore, he has claimed total compensation of Rs.140/- which includes excess charge of Rs.15/- incidental lcharge of Rs.25.00 and compensation of Rs.100/- towards hardship and mental agony caused to him.
