By Smt Padmini Sudheesh, President The complainant was a kuri subscriber of respondents firm and had joined in a 10th day monthly kuri. He had remitted the kuri amount for 24 instalments and later could not remitted due to non-functioning of the firm. The kuri had terminated on 10/11/02 and he demanded the remitted amount of Rs.14,400/- but not returned. Lawyer notice sent dated 5/7/03. But no reply was sent and also amount not returned. Hence this complaint. 2. The respondents are set exparte. To prove the case complainant has filed affidavit and four documents which are marked as Exhibits P1,P2,P3 and P4 series. 3. According to the complainant he is entitled for the remitted amount of Rs.14,400/- with 12% interest. He also claims compensation. 4. There is no contrary evidence. 5. In the result complaint is allowed and the respondents are directed to return the amount of Rs.14,400/- (Rupees Fourteen thousand and four hundred only) with 12% interest from 10/11/02 and 6% interest from today till realization. Further directed to give Rs.1500/- (Rupees One thousand and five hundred only) towards costs. Comply the order within two months. Dictated to the Confdl. Asst., transcribed by her, corrected by me and pronounced in the open Forum this the 29th day of August 2008.
