      This complaint filed u/Section-12 of Consumer Protection Act, 1986 prays to direct the opposite party to pay the sum assured on the two policies amounting  to Rs.5,00,000/-  +  Bonus and other benefits due, with interest at 24% p.a. from the date of submission of the claim papers i.e., since 07-07-2012,  Rs.2,00,000/- towards damages, costs and such other further reliefs.

                                                              .  

            This complaint coming on this day before us for hearing in the presence of                              Sri K. Ramachandra Rao, advocate for the complainant and Sri D. Phaniratnam, advocate for the opposite party and this Forum made the following:
