ORDER

This revision petition is filed against the order passed by the M.P. State Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission at Bhopal in Appeals No.1960 and 2635 of 2007, whereby the order passed by the District Forum directing the insurance company, the appellant herein, and Head Post Office, Satna, to pay a sum of `1 lakh to the heirs of the deceased has been upheld.

There is a delay of 113 days in filing the present revision petition.  Having perused the reasons given in the application seeking condonation of delay and heard learned counsel for the parties, we are of the view that no sufficient cause has been made out for condonation of the said delay.  The explanation furnished in the application, seeking condonation of delay, is that the delay happened due to combination of various factors including delay in sending the case file by the Regional Office to the Head Office and obtaining legal opinion so as to take a final decision to file the revision petition.

In our opinion, as noted above, the said reason does not constitute a sufficient cause warranting condonation of delay.  Accordingly, we decline to condone the delay and dismiss the revision petition on that short ground.
