Learned Counsel appearing for the Petitioner, namely, Jodhpur Vidyut Vitran Nigam Limited, states that as per his instructions there are no Rules for issue of electricity connection in a non-residential area, abutting the agricultural lands. He, however, states that a consumer of electricity is bound to comply with the orders, as may be passed by the Vitran Nigam. We are amazed at the stand of the Vitran Nigam. Apart from the fact that according to the instructions received by learned Counsel for the Petitioner, there are no Rules and Regulations, governing the issue of afore-stated electricity connection, which stand otherwise does not merit acceptance, bearing in mind the fact that a concurrent finding of fact has been returned by the Fora below that the premises of the Complainant, where the electricity connection is to be provided, is within a distance of 500 meters from the transformer, we do not find any jurisdictional error in the impugned order, warranting our interference in the revisional jurisdiction. Consequently, the Revision Petition fails and is dismissed accordingly. |
