1. This complaint is filed under section 12 of Consumer Protection Act 1986 and stood over to this date for consideration and this Commission passed the following order.

 

2.       This is a complaint filed by the complainant against the opposite parties alleging deficiency in service on the part of the opposite parties.  The dispute was with regard to the alleged excess bill issued by the opposite parties. When the case came up for consideration 20/10/22 both the parties submitted that there is a chance of settlement and hence the matter was referred to the settlement talk to be held on 12/11/2022. On 12/11/2022 both the parties filed a compromise memo stating that the matter is settled. As per the compromise the disputed bill is reduced Rs.1,770/- (Rupees one thousand seven hundred and seventy only)  and the complainant has agreed to pay the said amount within two days from the date of settlement. The memo of compromise signed and filed by both the parties is accepted and recorded. In view of the settlement arrived at between the parties to the proceedings, we find that this complaint is to be disposed of in terms of the compromise.

                   In the result, complaint is disposed of in terms of the compromise memo. compromise memo will form part of this order.

                 A copy of this order as per the statutory requirements be forwarded to the parties free of charge and thereafter the file be consigned to the record room.
