JUDGMENT
Per Sri Sushil Kumar, Member- This appeal has been filed against the judgment and order dated 23.3.2011 passed by the Ld. District Forum, Aligarh in complaint case no.210 of 2008, Smt. Kanti Devi vs. Executive Engineer, Dachinanchal Vidyut Vitran Nigam Ltd., Aligarh whereby the ld. District Forum rejected the bill dated 18.2.2009 amounting Rs.18,183.00 and further directed to issue amended bill against the complainant.
As per the case of the complainant, she took electric connection for domestic purposes. The meter which was established at the residence of the complainant was not working properly. A complaint was made to the District Magistrate, Aligarh in this regard. The defendant installed a new meter on 20.2.2008 after receiving Rs.8,000.00 from the complainant but none of the official recorded the meter reading and submitted the electric bill amounting to Rs.18,183.00.
Since this fact was found as proved by the complainant, therefore, rejected this appeal and directed to issue an amended bill is not illegal. The appellant is at liberty to issue an amended bill as per the meter reading. Therefore, no harm is going to cause to the appellant with this order. The appeal is liable to be dismissed.
