1. The complaint is filed alleging unfair trade practice in the sale of a cow to complainant by opposite party. As per Sec.2(1)(c)(ii) a complaint means any allegation in writing made by a complainant that the goods bought by him or agreed to be bought by him suffer from one or more defect. A cow being a living animal cannot be regarded to be defective or as of substandard quality as is intended by the Consumer Protection Act. On this score we cannot consider a cow to be good. Further if such complaints are entertained, the purchase and sale of a goat, a fowl etc which will have

     

     


 


 

to be entertained by a Forum which in our opinion is frivolous litigation. Hence we dismiss the complaint as not maintainable. However, complainant is at liberty to approach any Civil Court.
