ORDER
  1. Heard counsel for the parties.
  2. The above appeal has been filed against the order of State Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission, dated 21.07.2023, passed in CC/305/2018, whereby the state commission has directed the appellant to pay delay compensation in the form of interest @ 6% per annum on the amount deposited by the complainants from 03.04.2014 to 22.05.2017 i.e. the date of conveyance deed. Some other consequential relief has also been granted.
  3. When the case was taken up on 21.09.2023, this Court while granting interim order has permitted the appellant to pay delay compensation in the form of interest @ 6% per annum on the deposit of the respondents from due date of possession till the offer of possession within two months. The delay compensation has been paid. Today, the counsel for the respondents state that the appeal be disposed of in terms of the interim order, dated 21.07.2023. In view of the consent of the parties, the appeal is disposed of. The order of State Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission, dated 21.07.2023, is modified to the extent that the appellant will be liable to pay delay compensation on the deposit of the respondents in the form of interest @ 6% per annum from due date of possession till offer of possession i.e. 01.10.2014 till 07.06.2016. The amount has already been paid as full and final settlement. No further order is required.
