           This appeal is directed against the order dated 04.06.2013, rendered by the District Consumer Disputes Redressal Forum-I, UT, Chandigarh (hereinafter to be called as the District Forum only) vide which, it accepted the complaint, filed by the complainant (now respondent no.1) and directed Opposite Party No.1/Insurance Company, as under:-

“In view of the foregoings, we are of the opinion that the complainant must succeed. Therefore, the complaint stands allowed. The OP Insurance Company is directed to pay an amount of Rs.3,70,000/- being the IDV of the car on account of total loss and also to pay an amount of Rs.20,000/- as compensation for causing her mental tension, agony and physical harassment, apart from paying litigation expenses of Rs.10,000/-

This order be complied with by the OP, within a period of 30 days from the date of receipt of copy of this order, failing which the OP Insurance Company shall be liable to pay the above awarded amount i.e. Rs.3,70,000/- plus Rs.20,000/- (total Rs.3,90,000/-) along with interest @12% p.a. from the date of filing this complaint i.e. 02.11.2012 till its actual payment, besides paying litigation expenses, as aforesaid”.
