AWARD

1.   Vide his separate statement recorded on 18.01.2024, Sh.Rohan Mittal, Counsel for OPs has stated that the matter has been settled between the parties and as per settlement, the OPs shall pay a lumpsum amount of Rs.13,900/- to the complainant within a period of four weeks from 18.01.2024 in full and final settlement of the present matter, failing which the OPs shall be liable to pay the aforesaid amount alongwith interest @ 9% p.a. from the date of filing of present consumer complaint. Vide her separate statement recorded on 18.01.2024, Mrs.Deepa Saini, Complainant in person has admitted the aforesaid statement of counsel for OPs and prayed that the complaint be disposed of in terms of aforesaid settlement in Upbhokta Lok Adalat.

2.   In view of the statements made by the counsel for OPs & complainant in person and in terms of the settlement, the complaint stands disposed of by passing the following order:-

1. OPs shall pay a lumpsum amount of Rs.13,900/- to the complainant within a period of four weeks from 18.01.2024.
2. In case OPs fail to pay the aforesaid amount within the stipulated period, then OPs shall be liable to pay the same alongwith interest @ 9% p.a. from the date of filing of present consumer complaint i.e. 27.07.2022 till the payment is made.

3.   The award is accordingly passed.

4.   Certified copies of this order be sent to the parties free of cost. The file be consigned.
