09-10-2014: Appeal is partly allowed. The impugned judgment and order dated 08.06.2010 passed by the District Forum is modified and the appellant is directed to pay to the respondent a sum of Rs. 70,000/- towards loss and Rs. 5,000/- as compensation. Cost of appeal made easy.
