                                                            ORDER

1.                     This case has been taken up today in the Lok Adalat. Efforts were made to settle the matter, which stood fructified and the parties have settled the dispute. Statement given by the parties is reproduced as under:-                

“Joint statement of Mrs.Nirmala Devi, Complainant in person and Sh.Jatinder Kumar s/o Sh.Mohal Lal Sharma, Son of Complainant(Nirmala Devi) alongwith counsel Sh.Nirmal Singh Jagdeva, Advocate for Complainant.

The matter has been settled between the parties. I have received four cheques, first cheque No.062975, dated 2.12.2010 amounting to Rs.25,000/- in the name of Jatinder Kumar against Policy No.10000649, second cheque No.062974, dated 2.12.2010 amounting to Rs.25,000/- in the name of Jatinder Kumar against Policy No.09996355; third cheque No.059770, dated 30.11.2010 amounting to Rs.60,000/- in the name of Nirmala Devi against Policy No.09996352 and fourth cheque No.059769, dated 30.11.2010 amounting to Rs.1,20,000/- in the name of Nirmala Devi against Policy No.09997027, from Sh.Karandeep Singh Cheema, Advocate for OPs, towards full and final settlement. We have no objection if all the above said four policies are cancelled/terminated by the OP Company. The complaint may be dismissed as withdrawn”.

I have gone through the statement made by the complainant and her son Sh.Jatinder Kumar and accepted it as correct.”

2.                     In view of the above statements, the complaint is dismissed as withdrawn. However, the respective parties shall remain bound by their statements.

3.                     Copies of this order free of cost be supplied to the parties. The file be consigned.
