In the matter of: Complaint under section 10 of J&K Consumer Protection Act 1987.

                                                                ORDER

                      Today L/Cs for both the parties have moved a joint application before this Forum for the settlement of claim pending before this Forum. In the said application it has been agreed by the OP that he shall pay Rs.40,000/-to the complainant as claimed by  her in the complaint within a period of 20 days. In case he fails to make payment within the agreed period of 20 days, he shall be liable to pay the said amount alongwith interest @ 7.5% from the date of complaint till its actual realization and in addition to it he shall also be liable to pay Rs.10,000/-as cost of litigation. In support of the said agreement, statements of L/Cs for the parties have been reduced into writing and the same has been taken on record.

                   Hence in terms of agreement arrived at between the parties the award is passed to the extent that the OP shall pay Rs.40,000/-within 20 days to the complainant, failing which the OP shall be liable to pay the said amount alongwith interest @ 7.5% from the date of complaint till its actual realization and cost of litigation of Rs.10,000/- Copy of this order be provided to the parties free of costs. File after its due compilation be consigned to records.
