Sh. Amit Bhatia counsel for opposite parties made a statement that as per the instructions of the opposite parties they are ready to pay a sum of Rs. 21,883/- as settlement amount to the complainant on account of loss of vehicle bearing registration No. PBO2DD 1797 within 45 days from the date of the receipt of copy of the order. His statement recorded and taken up on the file.

On the other hand, Sh. Rakesh Kumar complainant made a statement that I have heard the above statement of learned counsel for the opposite parties and I accept the proposal given by the opposite parties but costs and litigation expenses may be imposed. His statement also recorded and taken up on the file.

In view of the statement of the parties present complaint is partly allowed. The opposite parties are directed to pay Rs. 21,883/- to the complainant as per the statement of the learned counsel for the opposite parties. The opposite parties are also directed to pay Rs. 2,500/- to the complainant on account of costs and litigation expenses. Both the parties are bound by their statements made today before this Commission. Compliance of this order shall be made within the period of 45 days from the date of the receipt of the copy of this order. Copy of the order be supplied to the parties free of costs by District Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission, Amritsar as per rules. File be sent back to the District Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission, Amritsar.
