                        The complaint is filed against the Opposite-parties for a direction to pay back the amount of premium deposited by him which is claimed to be Rs.75, 000/-(Rupees seventy five thousand only) with damages to the tune of Rs. 20, 00,000/-(Rupees twenty lacs only).It is alleged that complainant had obtained the Insurance Policy from the Opposite-parties. The sum assured on death was Rs. 2, 50,000/-(Rupees two lacs and fifty thousand only).The complainant had deposited three half yearly premium of Rs. 25,000/- each.  On enquiry the complainant was informed that Insurance Policy fore closed. Complainant requested for return of the amount deposited by him, where upon a cheque for Rs.12,368.44/- (Rupees twelve thousand, three hundred sixty eight and forty four paisa) only vide cheque No. 323411 dated-26-09-2013 was offered  to the complainant which he refused . Complainant as per letter dated 03-05-2016 requested the District Forum, Rohtas to direct for the payment of Rs. 20,00,000/-(Rupees twenty lacs only) immediately. The complainant as informed as per Memo No. 55 dated 05-05-2016 that such case is not maintainable before the Forum.

 

2.                We have perused the complaint. It would appear that complainant grievance is to the effect that the amount being returned is in adequate. The claim in the complaint is   a money claim; as such it is not maintainable under Consumer Protection Act. It is as such dismissed. Complainant if so advised may take the recourse of any other Forum as per law for redressal of his grievances if any.
