CONSUMER COMPLAINT NO. 272  OF  2019

AWARD

1.        Case taken up today in Grahak Madhyastata Samadhan and the parties have settled the matter. Vide his separate statement, Sh.Gaurav Bhardwaj, Counsel for OP No.3, without admitting the liability on the merits of the case, has stated that OP No.3 has settled the matter with the complainant and as per settlement, OP No.3 is ready to pay an amount of Rs.7500/- to the complainant within two weeks from today failing which the OP No.3 shall be liable to pay the aforesaid amount alongwith interest @ 9% p.a. from the date of filing of present consumer complaint. Vide his separate statement, Sh.Rajesh Gupta, Counsel for Complainant has admitted the statement of counsel for OP No.3 and prayed that the complaint be disposed off in terms of said settlement.

2.        In view of the aforesaid statements and in terms of the settlement, the complaint stands disposed off by passing the following order:-

     (i)  OP No.3 is directed to pay an amount of Rs.7500/- to      the complainant within two weeks from today.

     (ii) In case the aforesaid amount is not paid by the OP   No.3 within the stipulated period, then OP No.3 shall be    liable to pay the same alongwith interest @ 9% p.a. from     the date of filing of present consumer complaint i.e.     24.04.2019 till its realization.

3.   The award is accordingly passed.

4.   Certified copies of this order be sent to the parties free of cost. The file be consigned.
